As the new official partner of the Farnbacher Racing Team, we are delighted with this news: With two fantastic third places in Barcelona, Mario and Dominik Farnbacher successfully concluded their first season in the International GT Open.
1. Season review with the Farnbacher brothers
An exciting season with many highs and some lows lies behind the Franconian team led by Horst Farnbacher. However, Farnbacher Racing aimed to put on a strong performance at the season finale and headed into the winter break with two podium finishes .
The strength of the team, drivers, and car was already evident in the first qualifying session, with Dominik Farnbacher placing the Lexus RC-F GT3 in fourth place on the grid. His brother Mario secured eighth place in the second qualifying session on Sunday. The Farnbacher brothers then fought their way up to third place in both races, thus climbing onto the podium in the final two GT Open races of the season.

Dominik and Mario Farnbacher finished the championship in sixth and eighth place , respectively. Since Mario Farnbacher was unable to start in the two races at the Hungaroring due to a scheduling conflict, he missed out on the points from this weekend, finishing the season two positions behind his brother. Farnbacher Racing finished fifth in the team standings with the Lexus RC-F GT3.

Dominik Farnbacher : " We're delighted with our two third-place finishes at the last GT Open weekend; it showed that we're on top of the game. Of course, we would have liked to clinch another win at the end, but it just wasn't enough. We had a few issues with oversteer that we couldn't quite get under control, but the result is really good.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for their great work throughout the entire season. I'd also like to thank all our supporters, sponsors, and, of course, our loyal fans. We had a good debut in the GT Open this year and hope to be successful again next year. There are no precise plans for the 2018 season yet, but we hope to be able to announce something soon."
