4 Power Smoothie Recipes with MCT Oil and Vitamin D3

Our customers often ask us how best to consume MCT oil and harness the ketogenic energy for themselves. Biohackers and nutrition professionals who have already delved deeper into the ketogenic diet often use MCT oil as an extra power boost in their morning Bulletproof Coffee. However, the range of recipes for using this high-quality coconut oil is even broader. That's why we've come up with four healthy smoothie recipes with MCT oil, which the entire BRAINEFFECT team has tested and found to be "very good." We also added a few drops of our VITAMIN D3⁺OIL to each recipe, as our liquid sunbeams are also ideal for combining with beverages.

What effect does MCT oil have?

MCT oil provides valuable energy because it is converted by the liver into ketone bodies, the ideal energy source for the body and brain. Ketone bodies have a higher energy density than glucose, which is broken down from carbohydrates. Furthermore, MCT oil has the advantage of not affecting insulin levels, thus preventing performance slumps caused by unstable blood sugar levels.

If the MCT oil consists of 100% caprylic acid (C8), like BRAINEFFECT's ROCKET C8 , it offers additional benefits. C8 is the highest quality and most effective MCT fatty acid because it is easily metabolized. MCT oil is most effective when you are in ketosis or at least on a low-carb diet. Because MCT oil is tasteless and odorless, it is ideal for use in drinks such as smoothies. Here, it can simply be seen as another ingredient that provides natural energy without affecting the taste.

Why the combination of MCT oil and vitamin D3 is particularly useful

Many people suffer from a vitamin D deficiency, especially in winter, as vitamin D is produced on the skin by exposure to sunlight. If the hours of sunshine decrease during the darker months of the year, this is often accompanied by a vitamin D deficiency. To compensate for a deficiency, external supplementation is advisable. 1. THE GREEN SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

- 3 frozen cubes of kale
- 1 large handful of fresh spinach
- 1 kiwi
- 1 apple
- ⅓ cucumber
- Water as desired
- 1-2 tablespoons of ROCKET C8 MCT oil
- 2-3 drops of VITAMIN D3⁺OIL

Smoothie Bowl

Effect: Green fruits and vegetables are especially good in winter because they are rich in antioxidants, thus protecting cells from free radicals. Furthermore, green smoothies are a vitamin C bomb (especially kale!), so the smoothie is a boost for the entire immune system.

2. THE RED SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

- 2 beetroots
- Frozen berries (wild berries: currants, raspberries, black currants, blueberries, blackberries)
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 1 apple
- Water as desired
- 1-2 tablespoons of ROCKET C8 MCT oil
- 2-3 drops of VITAMIN D3⁺OIL

Red Smoothie

Effects: Beetroot contains very high levels of folic acid and iron. Berries are also rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and anthocyanins (hence their vibrant color), and they have digestive, cell-protective, and anti-inflammatory effects. Ginger contains the pungent compound gingerol and has anti-inflammatory properties.

3. THE YELLOW SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

- 1/2 banana
- Coconut milk
- 1 passion fruit
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 2 capsules of curcumin (available at Vitafair)
- ½ tsp Maca powder
- Water as desired
- 1-2 tablespoons of ROCKET C8 MCT oil
- 2-3 drops of VITAMIN D3⁺OIL

Gelber Smoothie

Effect: Bananas are rich in potassium and provide energy in the form of carbohydrates. Therefore, a maximum of half a banana should be consumed on a low-carb diet. Coconut milk not only gives this smoothie a particularly creamy and delicious flavor, it is also an important vegetable oil with healthy fats. Maca powder regulates digestion due to the very high fiber content of the maca tuber. It also increases the energy level of the entire body and improves performance and concentration.

4. THE WHITE SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

- 100 ml almond milk (unsweetened)
- 2 eggs
- Coconut milk
- 1 small handful of almonds
- 2 passion fruits
- ½ tsp Stevia (xylitol)
- 1-2 tablespoons of ROCKET C8 MCT oil
- 2-3 drops of VITAMIN D3⁺OIL

Weißer Smoothie

Effect : Almonds are high in magnesium , which helps release more energy. They also contain potassium, fiber, monounsaturated fatty acids, and essential amino acids, which improve cognitive function and have a positive effect on mood and mental well-being. Eggs contain vitamins A and E, as well as choline, which is essential for cognitive performance and the transmission of stimuli in the brain. Passion fruit is rich in B vitamins and beta-carotene.
