Keto dips and sauces for your summer BBQ

It's summer – and that means a barbecue with friends is a must. To make your BBQ not just mainstream, but marvelous, here are three delicious recipes for power dips and detox dressings with an extra keto kick .

1. Low-carb “hummus” with avocado

Attention hummus addicts: Your favorite dip is going keto. Instead of chickpeas, we've replaced it with zucchini , and thanks to double the avocado power, you'll benefit from healthy fats #bravocado

Ingredients

  • 1 zucchini
  • ½ avocado
  • 30g salted macadamia nuts
  • ½ garlic clove
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tbsp sesame paste / tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tbsp MCT oil, e.g. ROCKET C8 OMEGA with avocado
  • ½ tsp salt

How it works

  1. Wash the zucchini and cut it into pieces about 1 cm thick.
  2. Place the zucchini and all other ingredients in a blender (or an immersion blender).
  3. Mix everything until a creamy mixture forms.
  4. Enjoy your low-carb hummus.

2. Mayo 2.0

Mayo doesn't have the best reputation, so it's time for its keto makeover. Packed with the keto power of MCT oil and Omega 7, it's the first mayo that burns fat instead of storing it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2-3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 235 ml melted coconut oil (but not hot)
  • 115 ml MCT oil, e.g. B. ROCKET C8 OMEGA
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Here's how:

  1. Whisk the egg yolk and apple cider vinegar together.
  2. Then heat the liquid on the stove at low temperature, stirring constantly, until a thick mass is formed.
  3. Let the mixture cool briefly, then slowly add 1/4 of the oil, a few drops at a time, until the mixture becomes creamy. Instead of stirring yourself, you can also use a mixer.
  4. Then slowly add the remaining oil and continue mixing.
  5. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated for BBQ.

3. Salad dressing with energy add-on

  2. Season with salt and pepper.
