Three natural stimulants
1. Guarana
Guarana is considered a traditional source of natural stimulants. Even the Incas valued the red fruits, known for their high natural caffeine content. Unlike coffee, guarana releases its caffeine over the course of several hours, so it is not absorbed immediately by the body but released gradually. Thus, consuming guarana leads to a long-lasting and effective feeling of alertness.
2. Green tea
In Asia, the invigorating effects of green tea have been relied upon for thousands of years. Similar to the effects of guarana fruit, the caffeine contained in green tea is characterized by its long-lasting effects. Unlike other types of tea, green tea is not fermented to preserve its tannins. These tannins not only provide the bitter flavor but also ensure that the caffeine is gradually released into the body.
3. Iron
Without the trace element iron, nothing in the body functions, as it is a fundamental building block of the red blood pigment hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood and its transmission in energy metabolism. A good iron supply is therefore essential for the vitality and optimal function of the brain (as the largest energy consumer) and for the immune system. But that's not all: iron is also involved in the production of hormones and nerve messengers, so-called neurotransmitters. It is important for enzymatically controlled detoxification processes (e.g., in the capture of free radicals). And it plays a role in the formation of collagen – a building block of bones, connective tissue, and skin.
